The QBEC is a non-profit association established in August 1989, with a membership of over 500 consisting of approximately:
60% architects and technologists
30% building owners, manufacturers of building products and contractors
10% engineers and researchers
The QBEC organizes a minimum of eight conferences annually (September to May) on topics dealing with a variety of aspects specifically related to the building envelope, such as:
- The restoration of building façades and roofs, including the integration of new fenestration;
- Masonry, curtain wall and other cladding systems;
- Hygrothermal performance.
